Impossible list

Impossible list, whats with the pretentious title? Isn’t this just a bucket list? this is very derivative. you’ve just copied stuff from X’s list.

Firstly, let me explain that a lot of this is subjective or down to your own interpretation. With that being said, I’ll start with the title. To me ‘The impossible list’ is a taunt, something that i want to prove wrong. Right now some of these things on this list seem out of reach at least on my current trajectory so pretentious or not i like it and it has a purpose.

So why is this different from a bucket list, to quote Joel Runyon

Lots of people have a bucket list. They’re static things made up at one point in time that most people don’t end up actually incorporating into their lives and discard when things get tough. The impossible list is different. It’s fluid, updating status of what’s coming, what’s next and where you’ve come from. It’s always changing, always updating and always evolving.

finally to cover the the last two points presented by my own head, I’ll point out that by and large most of us tend towards the same goals and and we all have the same base needs. In my research of this inspiring new concept I found a couple of new things that i would absolutely jump at the chance of doing or experiencing so why not included them. I have no problem with someone else doing the same and starting their own journey, in fact I encourage it.

finally i want to shout out to Thomas Frank and his blog for his impossible list that inspired this one
